Mission Statement

FOR THE CHILD

1. To develop in each child a positive attitude toward school and learning.
2. To respect each child's individuality and offer lessons appropriate for his/her personal growth
3. To help each child develop a positive self image. 
4. To assist each child in building a habit of  concentration as part of his lifelong study skills.
5. To help develop and foster within each child an abiding curiosity, initiative, and persistence.
6. To foster inner discipline and a sense of order.
7. To give each child the basic skills necessary for fostering a lifetime of learning.

FOR THE PARENT

1. To provide quality care for their children.
2. To provide opportunities for them to meet and work with other parents and teachers, who have as their common concern the interests and needs of their children.
3. To establish communication through conferences, skill summaries, and daily communication to set realistic goals for each child.  Parents and teachers work together to provide the best care for each child.

Our School

We are located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with light traffic.   Our children enjoy playing in our park-like playgrounds and working in our sunny well prepared classrooms. 

As part of our community outreach program we participate in several annual community fundraisers such as the Kiwanis Walk-a-thon and the Relay for Life.  

We work in partnership with parents to provide a consistent educational program. 

Who We Are

Heritage Montessori School has been working to educate young children in our community since 1985.  

Over the years hundreds of children have come through the doors of our Children's House (our Casa de Bambini.)  When they left for the final time they were more confident and more independent individuals than when they first explored the mysteries of the Pink Tower and Brown Stair.  We as caretakers of this approach to learning, strive everyday to continue the work of Maria Montessori.  She was a woman of vision who believed that every child deserves respect, that every child is a unique individual with unlimited potential when given the proper tools to be successful.  No child is a throw away human being. 

By keeping fast hold of the very essence of the Montessori Philosophy we continue to have a strong and relevant program.
